Paul and Kerry-Ann
Paul and Kerry-Ann were married at Shirley Church, Shirley, Surrey. They asked me to do some pre-wedding photographs, the entire wedding, including the arrival of the bride, the ceremony, the signing of the register, and the reception.
The reception was held at the Bickley Manor Hotel, Bickley, Kent. The couple had set a theme for their wedding, which was quite unique. During the reception, they had arranged for an ice cream van to arrive, and allow guests to participate by "selling" ice creams. The venue was spacious, but quite dark, which was difficult for photography. However, I managed a number of quality images, and a good time was had by everyone. The ceremony was held in a beautiful church, which was spacious and quite well lit. There were no restrictions regarding photography, which made things much easier for me. There was plenty of room for me to move around, and so I was able to take a variety of shots, from different angles.
The weather was dry, bright and quite warm. The grounds of the hotel provided a number of places for some photographs, in particular under the impressive weeping willow tree, which had a wooden seat around it.
With lots of children, there was plenty for them to enjoy - including a bouncy castle, face painting and games. They all enjoyed themselves. I do enjoy seeing children with their faces painted; it makes for lovely photographs!
I provided a fast turnaround of the images, with the first few being uploaded to social media the next day. Paul and Kerry-Ann gave me plenty of time to produce all of the photographs.
